Summary
When a young High-school girl is killed, the killer goes after countless others die, someone must stop this killer.
Review
This movie has crossed all boundaries when it comes to horror films. This has taken every steriotype that horror movies
have created and confronted them. This tells us the rules of surviving a horror movie. This is the first slasher film
that also confronts that classic horror films are actually real. This is very realistic and has a superb ending that
has not been matched since.
Gore
This had intestines hanging out of bodies, people hanging from trees and blood and more blood. This was quite violent
and had some moments of pure disgust. Between two guys nearly stabbing themselves to death and a TV falling on someones head
I don't know which is worse. A very sickening throat cutting scene is top-notch.
Nudity
This had no nudity though we did see some nipples through a shirt. There was some sex but it cut away so nothing was
shown. I respect Craven for breaking the rules yet again in this film by not having nudity which seems to be essential for
every horror movie.
Killer
With a black hooded cape-like outfit and a long white face, this is a very cool killer. He has does not have a specific
way of killing his victims but most of them are knife. This brings me to my next thing, his favorite weapon. This is one of
the coolest knives I've ever seen and something I really enjoy. It is silver with a toy-like look to it and some very sharp
features.
Characters
This film is revolved around a group of teens but is more importantly Sydney (Campbell). Neve is able to potray and damsel
in distress and a strong woman. The other characters in this film are good but my favorite Randy (Kennedy). He is the movie
geek that I one day wish to become. He is the man that talks about the ways to survive a horror movie which is brilliantly
acted. He is the best character ever and he shall ever be praised by horror fans.
Overall
This movie is my favorite horror film of all time and sometimes gets nagged by fans. I love this movie and think it is
brilliantly written, directed and acted. I have never loved a movie so much after watching it. The ending is the best ever
in a horror movie (Seven doesn't count).
