Episode One

Horror's Most Knowledgable

Freddy Kruger: "I'm starting to worry about my upcoming film, Freddy vs. Jason."

Michael Myers: "Why is that?"

Freddy Kruger: "New Line Cinema is considering changing Jason's character. His recent film, Jason X barely made any money in the box-office earlier this year, and because of that, New Line Cinema thinks that Jason's long-devoted fans are starting lose interest in him."

Michael Myers: "That can't be the reason. Being the quiet guy I am, I overhear people a lot, and from what I've heard, it seems that those people, particularly his long-devoted fans, didn't bother seeing the movie, because of the premise, that being that Jason goes up in space."

Freddy Kruger: "Really?"

Michael Myers: "Yeah. They thought that it was a desperate attempt upon the filmmakers to revive the Friday The 13th series. However, that's hardly the case. It's director, Jim Isaac, had produced many space-age films and was a fan of Jason and his series. He actually went to the trouble of coming up with a well-thought out script, one in which mostly worked out, I think. Also, it has been said that the film was completed in the year 2000 and up until April this year, it's theatrical release date was bumped up several times. That is true, but the rumor, that it's director and New Line Cinema did that, because they had no faith in the film isn't. Jim Isaac was ready and not at all embarrassed to release the film, but at the time, there were many problems within New Line Cinema. When it came to releasing it on all of it's originally intended dates, it would get screwed up, because with all that was going on within the company, releasing Jason X was the last of their concerns."

Freddy Kruger: "So, there was a real inspiration for it."

Michael Myers: "Yep."

Freddy Kruger: "Well, I hope the changes to Jason's character are just rumors."

Michael Myers: "Me, too. I've enjoyed yours and his movies. It would be pretty cool and interesting to see you two finally duke it out. You two have always been pretty competitive. I know that you, especially, have been waiting for this."

Freddy Kruger: "That's true. That momma's boy is tough, but all I have to do is get into his nightmares, and I'll be able to figure out what makes him tick. You are aiming for me to be the victor, right?"

Michael Myers: "Of course."

Freddy Kruger: "Then again, you probably told Jason that he would probably be the victor, too, right?"

Michael Myers: "Of course!"

Freddy Kruger: "That doesn't matter. There are two different endings planned for Freddy vs. Jason, anyway. In one of them, Jason is killed off by yours truly and in the other one, Jason somehow ends up defeating me. They will most likely choose the right one. In fact, the filmmakers may distribute both endings to assorted theaters when the film is finally released early next year."

Michael Myers: "You know, it's funny to hear you talk about you and Jason. You sound competitive and arrogant. Oh, that's right, you are!"

Freddy Kruger: "Well, what about you? You hardly ever speak!"

Michael Myers: "I can't help that. Nobody ever comes to talk to me, not even for an autograph. It's as if they think I'm shy, because of this spray-painted white-Captain Kirk mask I always wear!"

Freddy Kruger: "Why don't you go up to talk to them, then?"

Michael Myers: "I do, but they run away, as if I'm going to slash them to death or something!"

Freddy Kruger: "That's a shame. You can be a likable and very talkative person."

Michael Myers: "I don't really care. I wouldn't want to have too much fame, not so much that it would get to my head."

Freddy Kruger: "Oh, I ought to tell you. I don't know if you get this a lot, but I really liked Halloween: Resurrection."

Michael Myers: "Thanks."

Freddy Kruger: "No, really. It had a good share of suspense and scares. It was pretty close to the original Halloween, because it had just enough simplicity and plot to keep me captivated. It's a shame that hardly anyone came to see it this summer."

Michael Myers: "That's nice, but, don't worry. I've checked the Internet, and my long-devoted fans did appreciate it. That's all I need to know. Plus, I made just enough money to cover the final payments on my house and Corvette."

Freddy Kruger: "That's cool."

Michael Myers: "Say, I heard that there may be cameos from many horror icons in Freddy vs. Jason, such as Chucky and Pinhead. You don't think that you can get to me into it, too, do you?"

Freddy Kruger: "Sure, I can. I have connections!"
